Privacy Policy

Effective 31 July 2026 · Kedge Health, St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada

Kedge Health helps people in Newfoundland and Labrador keep on top of routine preventive screening. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and the rights you have over it. We have written it in plain language on purpose.

Two separate things. The waitlist on this website collects only a name and email so we can tell you when we launch. The Kedge Health app collects health-screening information to generate your recommendations. They are kept entirely separate, and the sections below cover each in turn.

1. Who we are

Kedge Health is a preventive-screening service founded and operated by Dr. Jeff Power, a physician in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. For any privacy question, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact privacy@kedgehealth.com, or write to us at PO Box 29101 Torbay Rd RPO, St. John's, NL  A1A 5B5.

2. The website waitlist

When you join the waitlist on this site, we collect the name and email address you enter, along with the date you signed up. We use this only to email you about Kedge's launch and availability.

3. The Kedge Health app

The app asks you a set of structured questions — such as your age, sex at birth, and health details relevant to routine screening (for example, smoking history or family history) — and applies published Canadian screening guidelines to identify which routine tests you may be due for.

During the current beta

Kedge is being tested through Apple TestFlight (iOS) and Google Play internal testing (Android) before public launch. This policy applies to both, and to the web platform. Testers should enter test information, not real patient records. No real clinical care is delivered through the beta.

What the app does with your information

How your information is protected

4. When we share information

We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. Health information from the app is shared only:

5. Your rights

Under Newfoundland and Labrador's Personal Health Information Act, you have the right to access the personal health information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and to raise a concern about how it has been handled. To do any of these, contact privacy@kedgehealth.com.

Deleting your account or your data. You can ask us to delete your Kedge Health account and the information held in it at any time by writing to privacy@kedgehealth.com. We will confirm and action the request within 30 days. One limit, stated plainly: where information forms part of a clinical record, professional and legal record-keeping obligations under PHIA may require us to retain it for a set period rather than delete it immediately — in that case we will tell you what is being retained, why, and for how long, and we will delete it once that period ends. Waitlist entries carry no such obligation and are deleted on request.

You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for Newfoundland and Labrador (oipc.nl.ca) if you believe your privacy rights have not been respected.

6. Retention

Waitlist entries are kept until we launch and you have been contacted, or until you ask us to delete yours, whichever comes first. Health information collected through the app is retained only as long as needed for your care and to meet our legal and professional record-keeping obligations under PHIA, and is securely deleted or de-identified after that.

7. Children

Kedge Health provides adult preventive screening and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their province of residence.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, notify people through the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
